Good game last night, but LOOONG! We explored four rooms and it took us 8 hours. I almost died (actually everyone almost died). We killed Luc, it was necessary. He was charmed and most likely working for the enemy. I had a cool vision of Mercurial and I got tasked to “stand as a bastion of the Light”. I love stuff like that. Charlie is so good at incorporating character motivations into the game.
We’re working on the first game for the Pheyrift campagin. We’re calling it “Seeds of Magery”. It’s pretty straightforward. Crops are dying, magic seeds can restore the crops, PC’s get magic seeds from the guardians, original owner of seeds shows up and makes everyone’s life miserable, PC’s kill him. I notice that a lot of gaming ends with people dead. I guess that’s the nature of the activity. I’d like to see more redemption and compromise, but I guess it clutters up your landscape with people you have to keep track of.
In the personal life, all proceeds on a more or less even keel. Tom’s back to work tomorrow. I don’t know how rested he’s going to be. He skipped out on fighter practice anyway for more rest. FP has been moved to Andras’ house due to weather, so he’s not missing a lot of fencing. Brett’s off for anniversary stuff, so who knows what’ll happen.
New picture for the journal. It lives on the Barony of St. Swithin’s Bog website but as it is of me (and is not identified as such) I figure I’m justified in copying it (also, we own the original). That was the Pennsic Tom and I attended while we were still dating. It was an interesting experience. I had fun, but I think if we attend now, we’ll have more to do.
