I’m sitting here in the library at my desk and I look over to the left. There is a young man, maybe 16-20 years old sitting at a table looking at our encyclopedias. Next to him on the table are a megaphone and a can of Lysol spray. He hasn’t used the megaphone yet, but he keeps spraying the Lysol in the air. Now I will admit that our building does have a bit of a mold problem that sets off my allergies on occasion, but I didn’t think Lysol did anything for airborne mold. Maybe we smell bad. I’m not sure.
I wonder what the megaphone is for.
As a coda to this, our computer lab guy, Henry just walked by wearing yellow rubber gloves and carrying an Army issue machete. (He’s going out to kill a tree and doesn’t know if it’s of the poison type or not.)
I love my job. It’s so surreal.
