  • 15:05 @lilithine Sheesh Ebert! I think he should be allowed a balk on movies where he doesn’t even get the premise *sigh*. Just don’t review it. #

Why stop now?

The incredibly wonderful Woobs moved things around so we could attend the midnight showing of Transformers: ROTF last night.  And I have to say that for better or worse it lived up (or down) to my expectations.  But then I thought, "Hey, I’m into this giant robot thing in a big way.  Have been for a long time.  And no one in the theater with me was complaining (there were a LOT of people, too); so why am I beating myself up about this?"

And I felt somewhat better.

I’m not going to review it here and now, because I don’t want to spoil it for anyone.  I will still go this weekend to see it on the IMAX.  But then I’m going to go back and watch the first movie again…and the rest of Beast Wars…and probably a little Animated too, to prove to myself that they can tell charming stories about transforming robots without making the entire experience so cringe-worthy.
